Job Summary
We are seeking a certified and dependable Interventional Radiologic Technician to join our growing team. The Interventional Radiologic Technician will perform diagnostic imaging examinations on patients using X-ray and related imaging technologies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compassionate, and committed to high standards of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray equipment in accordance with physician orders
- Operating room, portable, trauma, and fluoroscopic procedures.
- Properly position patients and ensure radiation safety measures are in place
- Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment to ensure proper functionality
- Accurately document imaging procedures and maintain detailed patient records
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding radiation safety and patient confidentiality (HIPAA)
- Work collaboratively with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and answering questions
- Adhere to infection control standards and facility protocols
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge through continuing education
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification:Preferred: Interventional vascular certification by ARRT.
- Valid New Hampshire Radiologic Technologist Unrestricted license
- Current BLS (CPR AHA) certification
- 1+ years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting preferred
- Proficiency in using digital imaging systems and PACS software
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
