We are currently seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN / CVOR RN) to join our team for an exciting opportunity in NH.

Position Summary

The OR Registered Nurse (RN) will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care during surgical procedures within an acute care hospital setting. This role requires strong critical thinking, flexibility, and the ability to work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide circulating and/or scrub support for a wide range of surgical cases including:
    Ortho, Urology, Vascular, General, Trauma, ENT, OB/GYN, Plastics, Podiatry, GI, Ortho-Spine, Neuro, Thoracic, Robotics, and CVOR

  • Assist with Cath Lab coverage (Watchman and TAVR) procedures as needed

  • Maintain strict aseptic technique and enforce infection control standards

  • Collaborate with the surgical team to anticipate needs and ensure efficient case flow

  • Prepare patients for surgery and monitor intraoperative progress

  • Document accurately and timely in EMR (Cerner experience preferred, not required)

  • Float as needed within the OR department only (no cross-unit floating)

  • Recognize and respond to changes in patient conditions with clinical judgment and appropriate interventions
  • Uphold ethical standards and advocate for patient rights, informed consent, and autonomy
  • Delegate tasks appropriately while retaining accountability for overall patient care
  • Prioritize workload and manage time effectively in fast-paced environments
  • Practice in accordance with current evidence-based standards and hospital protocols
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to improve outcomes and promote a culture of safety
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable state and federal nursing laws and regulations
  • Perform other nursing duties as required within the scope of licensure

Requirements

  • Current, unrestricted RN license (State-specific or Compact)
  • 1–2 years of recent experience in the designated unit/specialty
  • BLS certification (CPR AHA) – required
  • PALS, ACLS certification, etc – required for critical care units (OR, ICU, ER, Telemetry, etc.)
  • Other certifications specific to the Unit
  • Proficient with EMR systems (Epic, Meditech, Cerner, etc.)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and best practices across all age groups
  • Unit-specific certifications (as applicable)Active RN License – New Hampshire or Compact State (must be valid at submission)
