Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated MRI Technologist to provide high-quality, patient-centered care within a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will be experienced in MRI procedures, ensuring patient safety, image quality, and adherence to protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images as requested by physicians.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures. 
  • Screen patients for contraindications prior to scans.
  • Review imaging results for quality and clarity.
  • Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions.
  • Uphold ethical standards and advocate for patient rights, informed consent, and autonomy
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech, Paragon)
  • Delegate tasks appropriately while retaining accountability for overall patient care
  • Prioritize workload and manage time effectively in fast-paced environments
  • Practice in accordance with current evidence-based standards and hospital protocols
  • Collaborate with other radiologists and healthcare professionals to enhance outcomes and foster a culture of safety by adhering to infection control and safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • Current, unrestricted MRI Tech license (State-specific)
  • 1–2 years of recent experience in the designated unit/specialty
  • BLS certification (CPR AHA) – required
  • ARRT (MR) certification preferred. Currently, unrestricted license in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of MRI technologist experience preferred.
  • Other certifications specific to the Unit
  • Proficient with EMR systems (Epic, Meditech, Cerner, etc.)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and best practices across all age groups
  • Unit-specific certifications (as applicable)
