If you’ve visited us lately, you may have noticed things look a little different around here. Welcome to the new Caring Nurses website!
When I founded Caring Nurses in 2012, it was with one simple idea: healthcare works best when it’s built on experience, compassion and real relationships. Our new site was designed with that same idea in mind. It’s cleaner, easier to use on your phone, and it gets you to what you need in just a click or two.
What’s new
- Staffing for facilities: our Staffing page lays out our per diem, contract and direct-hire options, the roles we fill, and how we work with you from the first call onward.
- Work With Us: nurses can see exactly what we offer and what you’ll need, then apply online in a few minutes.
- Job alerts: not ready to apply? Sign up on our homepage and we’ll email you new openings across New England.
- Answers in one place: our FAQ now covers staffing, careers and our newest service.
Introducing Nurse Navigator

The part of our new look I’m most excited to share is Nurse Navigator.
After more than 20 years at the bedside, I’ve seen how overwhelming healthcare can be for patients and families. Multiple doctors, changing medications, test results, specialist referrals, and the feeling that nobody is putting all the pieces together. It’s even harder when you’re trying to help a parent who lives hours away.
A Nurse Navigator is a registered nurse who sits on your side of the table. We can help you:
- Organize medications, providers and appointments into one clear picture
- Prepare your questions before you see the doctor
- Join appointments when appropriate, take notes and track what was recommended
- Make sense of tests, treatments and next steps
- Keep family members informed, even from far away
We don’t replace your doctors. We help you work with them, so you feel informed, heard and less alone. We meet with clients in person throughout New England and virtually, too.
For nurses: there’s a place for you here
If you’re an experienced nurse who loves advocating for patients, Nurse Navigator is a new way to put your skills to work. You can tell us you’re interested when you apply online.
Thank you
To the nurses who work with us, the facilities who trust us, and everyone who has supported Caring Nurses over the years: thank you. Take a look around, and if you have any questions, call us at (603) 305-0841 or send us a message.
And follow along with us on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube.
With gratitude,
Karen O’Donnell, RN, BSN
